Land Controversy between Revenue and Forest departments creating troubles to poor farmers who are cultivating those lands for time being. Sometimes officials registering cases on them. Disputes between two departments creating nuisance to beneficiaries who possessed official documents of the lands from government as a part of land distribution. In the district about 12396.36 acres of land is in dispute which covers 67 villages of 18 mandals .from the last 10 years dispute was settled in only one village in remaining districts disputes are not yet solved. Even though special officer deputed for survey of disputed lands could not shown solution. It is become common phenomenon of registering cases on farmers in the name of encroachment by forest officials. Some farmers says they are cultivating their own lands allotted under land distribution scheme. Some revolutionary party leaders demanding allocation of lands to poor who are on possession. All these making the issue more complicated. Taking the mess as advantage middlemen collection money farmers in the name of procuring land documents on farmers name. utilizing the opportunity few are issuing documents to the farmers showing forest lands as revenue lands. Land disputes between reverence and forest are high in Manthani and Peddapally revenue divisions followed by Karimnagar and Sircilla divisions. Highest disputed lands about 5949.02 acres are located in Manthani division covering Kamanpur,Kataram,Mahadevpur,Manthani,Muttaram and Malhar mandals. In Peddapally division about 4275.02 acres under dispute between two departments which covers Peddapally,Velagatur,srirampur mandals. meanwhile In karimnagar and siricilla divisions about 2000 acres land under dispute due to lack of co ordination between Revenue and Forest departments. The main reason for disputes is forest department not showing it’s lands boundaries where as Revenue department do not have Gazette notification with them about disputed lands. In jagityala division also there are differences between two departments. one side Revenue department issuing land declaration certificates to poor in disputed lands. On the other hand forest officials filing cases on farmers in the name of encroachments. Farmers are demanding Ministers intervention to solve the problem permanently.
